Program Description:

The Interior Design Diploma is designed to meet the needs of the local labor market. Training is conducted in four divided half-terms, each training part lasting eight weeks, for a total of (1552) training hours, in addition to (360) hours of practical training in the labor market, equivalent to (71) credit hours.

This program provides training on specialized skills in the field of interior design, computer drawing, materials and processes, dealing with residential and commercial projects, engineering presentation, global furniture measurements, and design history. During training, the focus is on the practical application aspect and linking it to the theoretical aspect in most specialized courses by intensifying basic practical training and applying the cooperative training program with sectors related to the trainee's specialization, in addition to general skills in English, mathematics, computer applications, and physics.

The graduate of this program is awarded a diploma and an intermediate university degree in interior design, and is expected to work in fields related to the interior design process, including: engineering draftsman, interior designer, participation in engineering project management and supervision.

The general objective of the program:

This program aims to qualify the trainee to work in the field of interior design, and obtain the fifth level in the National Qualifications Framework.

By the end of this program, the trainee will be able and efficient to perform the following tasks:

• Works on interior designs.

• Uses the computer in 2D,3D engineering visualization.

• Prepares executive drawings and details according to the project.

• Determines the materials and processes used in implementation.

• Supervises design work.

• Communicates with clients and knows the project requirements.

• Manages projects and delivers work.

• Makes models and panels for the project.
